There are now several insurance companies offering specialist insurance cover for wheelchair accessible vehicles.
In the main, annual premiums should be similar to none adapted vehicles, and could even be less expensive due to the lower average annual mileages covered and the typically better driving history of wav owners.
Our advice is to obtain quotations from several insurance companies and to let them know that you are doing so; don't accept the first quotation and always ask if there is a better deal available.
Certain specialist insurers may also offer discounted rates to adapted vehicle owners but may require a little prompting to do so.
